Luce al capolinea

Title sequence created for the ‘Le Giornate della Luce’ contest. In a black-and-white city, a boy is immersed in hollow noises and deafening silences. This contrast becomes clear to him during his tram rides, when the sonic chaos of the stop gives way to the calm inside the vehicle. He is essentially alone. The reality he lives in does not fulfill him, so he retreats into a dreamlike dimension made of photographs from his past that adding light and color, countering the world around him and illuminating his journey. The tram ride alternates between these two dimensions. The ending is open: light can also come from the present, if one has the eyes to see it.
